Group Guidelines

We believe every group will have it's own style and way of doing things but we would like to encourage a certain culture to run like a silver thread through all the groups, please see below for  guidelines, please see these as just guidelines and not as a list of rules:

Conduct – sometimes we can disagree with each other but that doesn't mean we have to fall out. We believe in treating each other with respect and allowing each other to speak without taking over.

James 1:19-20, Galatians 5:22-23, John 17:21

Structure – Why not start with a meal, followed by worship, prayer and bible study? We would also recommend taking Communion together. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and come ready to share what he is saying with the rest of the group. 1 Corinthians 14:26, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5

Vision – To lift up the name of Jesus and see his Kingdom established on the earth. Matthew 6:9-14

Mission – Although the groups are based in homes, we believe that people will take what they experience there into their everyday lives and we will see our towns, cities and nation transformed for the glory of God! Matthew 5:14-16

Safe Guarding - The members of each group are responsible for safeguarding and in particular, the safety of children and minors in their group. Please take all necessary safeguarding precautions before welcoming new members into your group. Be wise and use caution, don’t leave children alone with adults who are not their parents or are not known to you. If you would like to see our safeguarding policy that we use for our own meetings please get in touch here.

Oversight - Although there is no formal oversight of the groups, there will be people who are mature in the faith who will naturally lead those who are younger in the faith, just like in any family. These people are elders within the group and will be required to exhibit the lifestyle and character of elders as outlined in the Bible.
1 Timothy 3:1-7

Tell us - If you do start a group why not let us know so that we can support you and include you in our offline directory so that if people ask about groups in your area we can point them to yours.
